# Billing, renewal and refunds

This summarises clause 9 of the Terms of Service at quorumtech.ch/terms-and-conditions.

## Trials

There is no free trial as standard. Where we give one specifically, or where you use a promotional code we have published, it runs on the terms stated with it and converts to a paid subscription at the end unless cancelled first.

## Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annually depending on the plan, and keep renewing until cancelled.

## Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. **Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending the subscription on the spot**, so the Services keep running to the end of the period already paid for.

To change or cancel a plan, message us in the support chat or email support@quorumtech.ch.

## Refunds

If you cancel **within 7 days of a payment being taken**, we refund that payment less the briefings generated during the period it covers, charged at the per-briefing rate for your plan. If more has been used than the payment covers, no refund is due and we will not invoice the difference.

After those 7 days, fees already paid are not refundable. Two things override that and give a pro-rata refund regardless: a material reduction in functionality, and the service level remedies.

## Other billing terms

- Invoices are payable within 30 days.
- We may suspend for non-payment after 14 days' written notice and a chance to put it right.
- Price changes take 60 days' notice and apply from the next renewal.

## Quorum Partners

Some organisations get Quorum as part of a wider engagement with us, such as custom work we have built for them. That makes them a Quorum Partner, and clause 9 does not apply to them: the agreement covering the engagement sets what they pay and when.
