Listening to your episodes

The episode player, the synced transcript, playback speeds, and installing the dashboard as an app on your phone.

Listening to your episodes

When your episode is ready, Quorum emails you a listen link, and the episode is always available on the meeting page in the dashboard. The player is built for briefings: you can skim, jump, speed up, and read along.

The player

The player offers play and pause, a seek slider, and dedicated buttons to skip back or forward 10 seconds, which is ideal for replaying a figure you half-caught. The speed button cycles through 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x playback.

Below the controls, a "now speaking" readout shows the exact line currently being read and which host is saying it. Before you press play it reads "Press play to start the briefing".

The synced transcript

Every episode ships with its full script. During playback the transcript highlights the active line and keeps it scrolled into view, so you can read along or let your eyes catch a number the ears missed. Clicking any line jumps the audio straight to that moment. Each line is labelled with its speaker, and speakers keep consistent colours throughout the episode.

If your workspace runs without audio rendering configured, the meeting page says so and shows the script on its own, so the briefing content is never lost.

Who can play what

Episodes are personal. You can always play your own episode. The meeting's creator sees every episode's status, and admins can listen to all of them. If you select a colleague's episode you will see a note that it is personalised for them and only visible to them. To give someone else access to your episode, use Share listen link on the episode.

Sharing mid-listen

The share dialog picks up your current playback position, so you can send a link that starts at the exact moment you want a colleague to hear. See the article on sharing an episode for the audiences and expiry options.

Install it like an app

The dashboard is installable as an app on desktop and mobile. Use your browser's install or "Add to Home Screen" option and Quorum Podcasts opens in its own window with its own icon, which makes listening on the way into a meeting feel like using a podcast app rather than digging through browser tabs.

The ready email

The email arrives when your episode completes, addressed to you and linking directly to the listen page for your episode. Emails go only to attendees with a Quorum account in the workspace. If you did not receive one, check that your episode shows as Ready on the meeting page, and ask your admin whether email notifications are enabled for the deployment.
