What imports from OneDrive and SharePoint, and how sync works

Once Microsoft 365 is connected, Quorum mirrors your documents so briefings always work from the same material your team does. Here is exactly what comes across and how it stays up to date.

What gets imported

Every file type imports, up to 30 MB per file, so your Quorum library mirrors the source faithfully. Documents Quorum can read as text, such as PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument files, text, Markdown and CSV, are also indexed so search and briefings can draw on their content. Other types, like images or audio, are stored as they are.

Files larger than 30 MB are skipped rather than imported. The scan counts them as skipped so you can see it happened.

Where imported files land

Imports keep their folder structure so everything stays recognisable.

• Personal OneDrive files land under OneDrive, with a folder per owner, so different people's drives never mix together.
• SharePoint documents land under SharePoint, organised by site and document library.

SharePoint system libraries such as Form Templates, Style Library and Site Assets are never imported. Only libraries that hold real documents come across.

How sync stays current

Sync runs automatically about every 15 minutes. Each pass picks up new files, changed content, renames, folder moves and deletions from Microsoft 365 and applies them to your Quorum library. When a file is deleted at the source, the imported copy is removed too, and folders the deletion left empty are cleaned up.

A large first-time import is spread across several passes. Each pass imports up to 200 files and remembers exactly where it stopped, so a big workspace finishes over the following passes without you doing anything.

You can always run a pass immediately with Sync now on the connection row, or use Force resync to re-walk the entire source. A forced resync repairs anything that drifted, and because Quorum recognises identical content, it never creates duplicates.

Organisation-wide or single-account access

With the one-time Microsoft 365 admin approval in place, Quorum reaches every user's OneDrive and every SharePoint site in your organisation. Without it, sync can only see what the connecting admin can see. If that happens on an established connection, the row shows the note "Org-wide sync is off, so only files this account can already open are imported" together with an Approve org-wide access button that restores full coverage without reconnecting.

Disconnecting

Choosing Disconnect stops syncing immediately. You then choose what happens to the files that were imported: Remove files deletes them from Quorum storage, and Keep files leaves them in your library. Kept files are recognised by content if you reconnect later, so nothing duplicates.
