Change your password

Changing your password regularly, or the moment you suspect someone else knows it, keeps your briefings and documents yours alone. It takes under a minute from the Account app.

Steps

1. Open the Account app and go to My Account.
2. In the Security card, select Change password.
3. Enter your Current password.
4. Enter your New password of at least 8 characters, and repeat it under Confirm new password.
5. Select Change password.

You will see the confirmation "Your password was updated and your other devices were signed out."

What happens to your sessions

For your protection, changing your password ends your sessions on every other device and browser while keeping the one you are using. If someone had access to your account, they are cut off immediately, and you carry on working without interruption. You sign in on your other devices with the new password.

Requirements and common errors

• Your new password must be at least 8 characters.
• Your new password must be different from your current one. Reusing it shows "New password must be different from your current password".
• If the current password you typed is wrong, you will see "Current password is incorrect".

If you cannot sign in at all

Quorum does not yet offer a self-service reset from the sign-in page. Ask a workspace owner or admin to reset your password from the Users page, or to resend your invite, which emails you a fresh temporary password. Either way you are signed out everywhere and sign back in with the new credentials, and after an invite resend you will be asked to set a password of your own.

Choosing a good password

Pick something long and unique to Quorum rather than a password you already use elsewhere, and let a password manager remember it for you. Since one Quorum password signs you in to Podcasts, Storage, and Account together, protecting this single password protects everything you do on the platform.
