Connect Teams calendars to Quorum
Connecting Teams calendars lets Quorum bring upcoming meetings into the meeting wizard with the details already filled in, so nobody retypes titles, times, and attendee lists. The connection is set up once by a workspace admin on the Connections page.
What Quorum reads and keeps
The connect dialog states it plainly before you approve anything:
- Sees: meeting titles, times, and who is invited.
- Never imports: meeting notes, attachments, or anything marked private.
- Keeps: upcoming meetings only, deleted within 3 days of leaving the calendar.
Quorum can never change or send anything in your calendars. Anything marked private, cancelled, all-day, or free is discarded before it is stored. For your IT team, the permission is Calendars.ReadBasic.All (application), and Microsoft itself never returns meeting bodies or attachments under this permission, which your admin can verify independently. This is a separate Microsoft app from the Documents connection, so approving one does not approve the other.
Connecting
- Open Connections and choose the Teams calendars row.
- Review what Quorum sees and keeps, then press Continue to Microsoft.
- A Microsoft 365 global administrator signs in and chooses Accept. If you are not an admin, copy the approval link and send it to one. Approval links are single use and expire after 15 minutes, so start again if one has gone stale.
- Once approved, scanning starts automatically and the page updates on its own. Quorum checks for the approval every minute, so a short "Approved, finishing up" state is normal while Microsoft processes the grant.
Settings after connecting
- Store meeting titles is on by default, so meetings arrive in Quorum already named. Switching it off means you name each meeting yourself while times and attendees still come through. Switching it off also deletes every stored title immediately, for everyone, and turning it back on will not restore them.
- Scan calendars automatically keeps new meetings appearing within a day without anyone lifting a finger. Switching it off means meetings are only imported when someone runs a scan on the Connections page.
Scanning
- Scan my calendar reads just your own calendar and finishes in about a second. Use it when you just created a meeting and want it in the list now.
- Scan everyone checks the whole workspace and also runs on its own every day. You can choose how far ahead it looks for this scan only, from the next 7 days up to everything scheduled, and the standing setting is never changed by a one-off scan.
The panel shows live progress, how many calendars are readable, and names anyone whose calendar could not be read so an admin can follow up.
Limiting scope
An Exchange administrator can restrict Quorum to a single mail-enabled security group with an application access policy. The Connections page provides the exact PowerShell behind the "For your IT team" disclosure. Mailboxes outside the group then report as skipped, which is expected and healthy.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting deletes Quorum's copy of your meetings and calendar records and stops scanning, and the confirmation reports exactly how many cached meetings and records were removed. To fully revoke access, a Microsoft admin also removes the app in Entra.
