Remove or disable a workspace member

When someone leaves your team, you can take away their access in seconds, and you can always bring them back later. Quorum gives you two tools with different reach.

Remove from workspace

Removing unlinks the person from your workspace without touching their Quorum account.

1. In the Account app, open Users and select Manage next to the member.
2. Select Remove from workspace and confirm.

The confirmation explains exactly what happens: "They lose access to this workspace immediately and are signed out here. Their Quorum account and any other workspaces are kept, and you can add them again later."

Removal takes effect at once. The member's sessions in your workspace are ended, any dashboard they have open is signed out on the spot, and even a recently issued sign-in is refused. If they belong to other Quorum workspaces, those are untouched and they stay signed in there.

To bring someone back, simply add them again from New user. Because their account still exists, they rejoin with their own password and pick up where they left off.

Disable an account

Disabling switches the person's account off entirely rather than unlinking it from your workspace.

1. In the Account app, open Users and select Manage next to the member.
2. Change Status from Active to Disabled.
3. Select Save changes.

A disabled member is signed out on every device and cannot sign in anywhere until an admin sets their status back to Active. Sign-in attempts on a disabled account are refused with "Account is not active".

Which should I use?

Use Remove from workspace when someone leaves your company or team, since it cleanly detaches them while respecting any other workspaces they belong to. Use Disabled when you need to pause someone's access temporarily and expect to restore it, for example during an extended leave.

Remember the guardrails: you cannot remove or disable yourself, and the workspace owner cannot be removed at all.
