Using light and dark mode

Every Quorum app comes in a light and a dark appearance, so you can pick whichever is easier on your eyes and the app will remember your choice.

Switching modes

1. Find the appearance button. In the dashboards it sits at the bottom of the left sidebar next to the sign out button, and in the Help Center it sits in the header. It shows a moon icon while you are in light mode and a sun icon while you are in dark mode.
2. Click the button once. The whole app switches immediately, and there is nothing to save.

What Quorum remembers

Quorum starts everyone in light mode. When you switch, your choice is stored in your browser, so the next time you open the app it comes back in the mode you picked. Because the preference lives in the browser rather than in your account, each browser and each device keeps its own setting. If you use Quorum on a laptop and a phone, set your preferred mode once on each.

Clearing your browser's site data also clears this preference, and the app will simply start in light mode again until you switch.

Dark mode and your device

When you use Quorum as an installed app on your phone, the area around the app, such as the status bar, follows the mode you chose in Quorum so everything matches. On a hard reload you may briefly see a light screen before your dark preference is applied. That flash is expected and passes as soon as the page finishes loading.

The Help Center

The Help Center has the same appearance button in its header, and one part of it deliberately stays the same in both modes. The search banner at the top keeps its deep navy colour, which is part of the Quorum brand, while everything below it follows your chosen mode.
